Verify a Credostar credential.
Every credential issued through Credostar carries a unique verification URL and (on Premium and Blockchain tiers) a QR code. Public verification opens to everyone at our Q3 2026 launch. Until then, this page explains what verification looks like and where to direct credentials issued through the design partner pilot.
How verification works
Open by design.
Credostar credentials are W3C Verifiable Credentials. Verification is a property of the credential itself, not of our servers.
-
Cryptographic signature
Every credential is signed with the issuer’s private key at issuance time. Tampering invalidates the signature.
-
Verifier-agnostic
Any W3C VC compliant verifier (including open-source ones) can validate a Credostar credential without contacting us.
-
Portable forever
The proof travels with the credential. Recipients can verify their credentials in decades, with us or without us.
-
Self-hosted option
Enterprise plans run a hosted verifier inside your perimeter so internal teams never depend on a public endpoint.
