Built in

Built for the way you operate.

The smaller things that add up. Operational, administrative, and engagement features your team will use every day.

  • Print-ready certificates

Export pixel-perfect PDFs and printed copies alongside the digital version, using the same template you already designed.

  • One-click Drive sharing

Push issued credentials straight into the recipient’s Google Drive or institutional storage.

  • Participant module

Run webinars and seminars end-to-end. Manage sign-ups, attendance, and auto-issuance to verified participants in one place.

  • Certificate as a lead-gen surface

Place video ads or scrolling promos for related courses under each credential. Every verification view is reach.

  • Built-in review collection

Issuance emails are fully customizable and can embed a Google review CTA. Collect testimonials while the achievement is still fresh.

  • Workspace-based configuration

Each workspace owns its own templates, branding, sender identity, and access rules.

  • Recipient rectification workflow

Recipients can request changes to a defined set of fields. Issuer approves; the credential is reissued with an audit trail.

  • Multi-tier organization roles

Platform admin → reseller (optional) → issuer org admin → org users. Buy direct or go through a partner.

  • Credits with lifetime validity

Top up once and spend whenever. Each certificate tier consumes a different number of credits, and balances stay valid for life.

  • Folder-based credential structure

Organize by course, cohort, batch, or program. Move, archive, and bulk-act on credentials by folder.

  • Custom brand elements

Bring your logo, primary and secondary colors, font family, and a branded login screen. Full white-label customization is available on enterprise plans.

  • Engagement analytics

Track shares, opens, and clicks on every credential and email. Know which programs actually travel.

Portability

Open by design.

Every credential issued through Credostar follows the W3C Verifiable Credentials standard. The proof travels with the credential, so your recipients and partners can verify it in any context, with any compliant tool, for as long as the credential exists.

  • Open W3C standard

Every credential is issued as a W3C Verifiable Credential. Any compliant verifier can validate the proof from the credential itself.

  • Verifiable anywhere

Recipients and third parties verify against the credential’s signature and published public key. Any compliant verifier produces the same answer.

  • Your data, your call

Export every credential, recipient, and template in open formats at any time. Move between VC platforms with full history intact.

  • Self-hosted verifier

Enterprise plans can run a hosted verifier inside your perimeter, so internal teams validate credentials within your own network.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

Common questions about issuing, verifying, and managing credentials on Credostar. If you need more, our docs and support team are here.

  • What is Credostar?

Credostar is a digital credentialing platform for organizations that issue certificates, badges, and professional credentials. Design templates, issue at scale, and give recipients a verification page they can share anywhere. Every credential is cryptographically signed and follows the W3C Verifiable Credentials and OpenBadges 3.0 open standards.

  • What are verifiable credentials?

A verifiable credential is a digitally signed claim about a person (a degree, license, course completion, professional certification) that any third party can verify without contacting the issuer. The proof lives in the credential itself via cryptographic signatures and public keys. The W3C Verifiable Credentials specification is the open standard most platforms now follow.

  • How is Credostar different from Credly or Accredible?

Credostar is built on open standards from the ground up. Every credential is a W3C Verifiable Credential, which means it is portable and independently verifiable through any compliant tool. We also charge per credential issued, not per seat, and credits never expire. The product fundamentals are deeper too: three credential tiers, a recipient rectification workflow with audit trail, and customizable branding without forcing a full white-label tier.

  • How long does setup take?

Activation is immediate. You can sign up, design your first template in the visual editor, upload a recipient CSV, and issue your first batch in well under an hour. Bulk imports from your LMS or CRM use the same flow.

  • Is Credostar free to use?

Yes. The free plan covers 1,000 credits with one-month validity, no credit card required. After that, credits are pay-as-you-go starting at 500 credits and never expire once purchased. Each credential tier (Standard, Premium, Blockchain) consumes a different credit amount.

  • Which credential tier should I choose?

Three tiers cover the spectrum. Standard credentials have a limited-time download window and no QR code, suited for low-stakes attendance or participation proofs. Premium credentials get a QR code, a unique credential ID, lifetime availability, and a public verification page; this is what most organizations choose. Blockchain credentials anchor the proof to a public chain for tamper-evident verification on high-stakes credentials. You can mix tiers across programs.

  • Can Credostar integrate with my LMS, CRM, or HR system?

Yes. Credostar exposes a REST API and webhooks, and supports CSV imports for systems without a direct connector. The bulk issuance flow is designed to slot into existing learning, HR, and events workflows without requiring you to replace them.

  • Can I issue credentials in bulk?

Yes. Upload a CSV or connect a group of recipients and Credostar issues, delivers, and tracks each credential individually with a unique verification URL. Email delivery is automated with retry and bounce handling. Large batches process in the background; you get a notification when they finish.

  • Where can a Credostar credential be verified?

Anywhere. Every credential is a W3C Verifiable Credential, which means the cryptographic proof travels with the credential itself. Any compliant verifier (including open-source implementations and a self-hosted endpoint on Enterprise) can validate a Credostar-issued credential. You can also export every credential, recipient, and template in open formats at any time.

  • Is Credostar secure and compliant?

Credostar is ISO 27001 certified and SOC 2 audit is in progress. All credentials are cryptographically signed; verification is tamper-evident. We follow the W3C Verifiable Credentials and OpenBadges 3.0 specifications natively, both of which are designed for adversarial verification. Enterprise plans include self-hosted verifier options so internal teams never depend on a public endpoint.

  • Can credentials match my brand?

Fully. Bring your logo, primary and secondary colors, font family, and even a branded login screen out of the box. The advanced visual editor handles pixel-perfect template design without code, and you can upload raw HTML/CSS templates if you want full control. Enterprise plans extend this to a full white-label experience.

  • How do recipients verify their credentials?

Each credential ships with a unique verification URL and (on Premium and Blockchain tiers) a QR code. Recipients can share the URL or QR on LinkedIn, in resumes, with employers, or anywhere. Anyone who opens it sees a public verification page that confirms the credential is genuine, issued by your organization, and unmodified.

A note from the team building Credostar.

We started Thinqzo last year to tackle a problem that has stuck around far too long. Why is the proof of someone’s hard work, whether a degree, a license, or a course completion, still living inside PDF attachments and email threads from 2010?

Credostar is our answer. We built it on W3C Verifiable Credentials and OpenBadges 3.0 as a deliberate commitment to portability. Every credential stays verifiable through an open standard, regardless of which platform issued it.

If you are thinking about how your organization issues credentials, we would like to hear from you directly.
